Update 18th March 2020:
Following UK Government announcement on COVID-19, 17th March 2020
The British Horse Society has been monitoring the Government’s guidance to protect people during the Covid-19 outbreak. We recognise this is a challenging and worrying time for individuals in the industry both professionally and personally.
As a result we will be cancelling or postponing all BHS Assessments, BHS CPD activity, Safeguarding and First Aid courses until the end of June 2020. As a result all APCs and Approved Centres will be able to extend the window for maintaining CPD, safeguarding and first aid requirements until 31 December 2020. On line safeguarding provisions will continue.
Please contact the event organiser to discuss the arrangement for refunds or transfers.
We encourage you to continue to learn and develop your skills through further qualifications and continuing professional development (CPD). CPD can cover a range of topics such as supporting the horse and rider to developing your communication, leadership, self-awareness and planning skills. You should endeavour to take responsibility for your CPD by reviewing your skills on a regular basis to highlight areas for development, a mentor or other professional coach could support you with this. We encourage you to attend CPD and training events that will take you out of your comfort zone to broaden your thinking and development.
The BHS and BEF Member Bodies offer a range of CPD and training events to enrich your skills, introduce new concepts, technology and research and encourage networking with your fellow professionals.
