A nutritionist's role is to tailor a horse’s diet to their individual requirements. This will include identifying different supplements and whole foods to suit a horse’s individual lifestyle, breed and age, to identify health problems, to calculate precise nutritional requirements and effective diet plans and to asses and analyse the effect of a diet on the horse.
