Update 18th March 2020:
Following UK Government announcement on COVID-19, 17th March 2020
The British Horse Society has been monitoring the Government’s guidance to protect people during the Covid-19 outbreak. We recognise this is a challenging and worrying time for individuals in the industry both professionally and personally.
As a result we will be cancelling or postponing all BHS Assessments until the end of June 2020.
The BHS Education Team are contacting all candidates and delegates booked on assessments before the end of June 2020 to arrange a transfer to an alternative date later in the year.
If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com 02476 840508.
View a list of all our scheduled UK assessments and their dates and locations. Please keep checking back as we frequently update our listings. BHS assessments are assessed in English, however if English is not your first language we are able to offer a translator/s. If you are taking assessments in the UK and would like to take advantage of this service please contact the Education team for further information.
Training for your assessment
Training for BHS Assessments should include a mix of practical training and practice, workshops, events and revision or study at home. We strongly recommend training with a BHS Approved Training Centre or an Accredited Professional Coach. Find all BHS centres, training events and coaches here.
If you are looking for our assessments at our international centres, including the Republic of Ireland, view international assessment dates here.
Book Your Assessment Today
Our assessments close for booking two weeks before the assessment date; please ensure you book before this deadline.
Call the Equine Excellence team on 02476 840508 to book your assessment. Please have your credit or debit card details to hand.
Alternatively, you can download the relevant booking form from each award page under the ‘Book your assessment’ drop-down box, and send your payment via post.
Please ensure your form reaches us more than two weeks prior to the assessment date, so we can process your booking. The assessment will close for bookings two weeks prior to taking place.
We will always do our best to accommodate your preference for an assessment. However, the venue and date are not confirmed until payment is taken and you have received your written confirmation.
Re-sitting your assessment
If you have been unsuccessful on your first assessment, we encourage you to call us to book a re-sit.
We will also answer any questions you may have and provide you with feedback at this stage. You may have been successful against some, but not all of the assessment criteria, in which case we can just assess you on the sections on which you were not so strong.
