The BHS encourages our Accredited Professionals to continue to learn and develop your skills through further qualifications and continuing professional development (CPD). Our APCs are required to complete six CPD points annually.

CPD can cover a range of topics such as supporting the horse and rider to developing your communication, leadership, self-awareness and planning skills.

You should endeavour to take responsibility for your CPD by reviewing your skills on a regular basis to highlight areas for development, a mentor or other professional coach could support you with this. We encourage you to attend CPD and training events that will take you out of your comfort zone to broaden your thinking and development.

The available dates for CPD can be found here.

Any online courses will be required to make up to six points in total which can be from a combination of more than one course.

To ensure your CPD points are recorded, please fill in the CPD Feedback Form.

Please search for your CPD points currently logged by using this read-only document. Please enter your membership number in cell D1, your membership record will be highlighted in the colour yellow to make it easier to find, you will need to scroll through the list to see your highlighted cell. Please note this list is updated at the beginning of each month.

If you have a course that you are running and would like to request the course to be approved for APC CPD then please fill in this request form with as much detail as possible.
